You will need:

  • 5 large fresh spinach leaves, blanched
  • 2 cups chickpea flower
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1tsp turmeric
  • 1/2 tsp asafetida
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1tsp coriander powder
  • A steaming saucepan
  • 2 cups water

What to do next:

Make a paste with chickpea flour and all the spices.

Clean spinach leaves and remove vain.

Blanch for 3min so that the leaves are pliable.

Spread paste on leaves and make a “swizz-roll”

Steam for 15min.

Cut into slices and lightly fry until brown.

Next make a sauce in the following way

And combine the sauce with the Kiroch.

Sauce: 3cups blended tomatoes,

1tsp salt, 1tsp mustard seeds, 1tsp sugar, 1tsp mix herbs,

1tsp turmeric, 1tsp cumin powder.

2Tbs oil. Heat oil; add mustard then other spices brining to boil

Then simmer for 10min. lastly add salt & sugar.
